Simple Pomodoro — Support

Simple Pomodoro is a free pomodoro timer for iPhone: start a focus session, work until it ends, take the break it gives you. No account, no ads, no in-app purchases — and no internet connection needed.

About the app

The app does one thing: it keeps a focus session and its break running honestly, and it keeps a record of the sessions you actually finished. Everything stays on your device.

  • Focus sessions and breaks with a countdown you can follow without opening the app

  • A Live Activity on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island

  • Local notifications when a focus session or a break ends

  • A history of completed focus sessions, stored on your device only

  • Works fully offline — no account, no sign-in, no network requests

Frequently asked questions

How does the pomodoro cycle work?

You start a focus session and work until it ends. When it does, the break starts on its own. When the break ends, the next focus session waits for you to start it — the cycle only moves forward when you decide to work again.

Why do breaks start automatically but focus sessions don't?

A break should begin the moment the work stops, so none of it is eaten by deciding whether to take one. Focus is the opposite: it should begin when you are actually back and ready, not while you are still refilling a glass of water. So the app starts breaks for you and leaves the focus session to you.

How is my session history counted?

A day counts once you complete at least one focus session that day. Breaks never count towards it, and a session you skip or abandon before it ends never counts either — only finished focus sessions do.

Do I need an account or an internet connection?

Neither. There is no login and the app makes no network requests at all. It works the same in airplane mode as it does anywhere else.

Where is my data stored, and how do I delete it?

Your timer settings and completed-session history live only on your device, in the app's own storage. Nothing is uploaded anywhere. Deleting the app from your iPhone deletes all of it.

The timer didn't notify me when the session ended.

The end-of-session alert is a local notification, so iOS has to be allowed to show it: open the iOS Settings app, find Simple Pomodoro, and make sure notifications are allowed. If the Lock Screen countdown is missing, check that Live Activities are allowed for the app in the same place.
